A ceramic tile, generally made by the dust-pressed method, of a composition that produces a dense, impervious, fine-grained tile with smooth and sharply formed face. Porcelain tiles can be glazed or unglazed due to their low porosity. Unglazed porcelain tiles are extremely durable tiles that are often used commercially. Most are frost resistant, having a water absorption of less than 0.5%.
